Gathering of Japanese Craft

An intimate encounter with Japanese craftsmanship

Add to calendar:

Event Description

House of Japan invites you to an intimate gathering dedicated to Japanese craftsmanship, presented in collaboration with 8PEACE, an initiative connecting Japanese artisans with Europe.

The event will feature a glass piece inspired by a conversation following our previous Mikawachi ware gathering. During a discussion with the 8PEACE team, the idea emerged to express the beauty of Kyo-Yuzen gold decoration through glass. The proposal was embraced and later brought to life by artisans in Japan, whose craftsmanship and sensitivity shaped the final work.

Alongside this piece, we will present selected crafts that quietly accompany everyday life.

Guests will be invited to experience Japanese sake served in handcrafted vessels, accompanied by a small bite prepared to complement the tasting.

This gathering offers a moment to touch, hold, and imagine living with these objects. Participation is limited to ensure an intimate experience.
